Motorik sensations The Dolphins and stopstart shoutchimps Gestammelorchester already played together back in March at the Under the Radar festival. It was great, so we’re doing it again, this Saturday, in Trickster. Last gig of the year. Also, DJs Angelika and Unholy Spider will caress thine ears, spinning real roundy records and fake rectangular mp3s; eintritt is some tiny amount — so small that we don’t even know what it is yet.

The rock band Gestammelorchester are playing on Saturday, September 24th in Knochenbox, with The Pork Torta, from Arizona, US of A — presented by Blitzgigs. And Gestammel are also playing on Friday, September 30th in 91MQ in Landsberger Allee 54, with Banque Allemande and Paro, and a solo electronic set from Oliver — presented by Unknown Pleasures.

Under the Radar at RufReaktor

Gestammelorchester will be playing at Under the Radar, the Berlin DIY music, art and ideas festival, which is on next week, on Friday, March 25th, in RufReaktor at Landsberger Allee 54, Friedrichshain. Also playing are Mary Ocher (of Mary + Baby Cheeses fame) and The Dolphins (providing you with only the finest motorik rock awesomeness). Additionally, there is a group show of work from emerging Berlin-based visual artists Jane Hughes, Oliver Rivera-Drew, Tulip Enterprises and Michiel Keuper. Aaaand… DJ Paracetemol and DJ Unholy Spider. All in all, it’ll be a glimpse of Berlin’s fertile underbelly that no sane person could want to miss. Hope to see you there.

Also, the handmade covers of the Gestammelorchester 7-inch single ‘Coins’/'Aus Bei Mit Nach Seit Von Zu’ will be featured in the upcoming Editions of You exhibition at the O3 Gallery in Oxford, England, from Friday, 25 March to Sunday, 24 April, 2011. Concerts with No Nebraska!, Don Vito and Batalj

Two things. First, No Nebraska!, Don Vito and Gestammelorchester will be playing this Friday, January 28th, at the launch concert for No Nebraska!’s new album, ‘Generalisation‘. Second, Gestammelorchester and Batalj will be playing on February 4th in Trickster, Kreuzberg. Woop!

Two upcoming Gestammel concerts

The first: on Saturday, December 11th (so, this weekend), in The Community Space, Schlesisches Strasse 38, Kreuzberg. This is as part of the Meaganfest benefit concert and Soliparty, with loads of other bands, comedians and DJs, including Team Plastique, Late Nights In Squat Bars, Trike, Wynton Kelly Stevenson, and Shipwreck Rats.

The second: on Thursday, December 16th, in Raum 20, Ziegrastraße 11, Neukölln. Supporting Yann Keller/Jan Schlaeger.
